My husband and I travel full-time, mostly by RV, with our 2 children.

My wife thinks I am crazy with how much time I am spending on research but she is very supportive of getting into REI.My end goal is to have a comfortable retirement where I can travel with my family whenever I want so that I can experience all the various cultures (stateside and international).

Good evening BP crowd,I'm traveling to the Dallas/Fort Worth area next week to meet with my realtor because I'm interested in long-term rentals in the area.

To be clear, it's not freedom from working but the freedom to have the flexibility to travel and spend more time with my wife and kids.Currently, I own a single family home which I consider to be a live in flip.

Local builders in small towns have less economics of scale to leverage, and city builders often charge a premium to travel 60 miles each way. 

A "second home" loan has nothing to do with the quantity of loans, but instead with the usage intent - which @Scott Stahr's intent fulfills.  

I'm not in the area any more but I do travel back and forth a lot to visit family and friends.

. $59,500 is the Mortgage and we had a personal loan of 22K at 8.49% , with another bank for 7 yrs (1.5 yr ago), initially for travel and remodel our first home, but reading and researching more of finance lately we decided not to remodel our current home and used part of it (10.5K) as the down payment for the 2nd home (currently being renovated) . 

If  you need  a SAM's club or a Best Buy for the lates Apple product you're going to have to travel 30 mins.  

I have set aside 70k to be used for purchase and rehab - I'm hoping that's enough to get started without loans as I haven't had decent income last couple years ($10k last year) as I took some time off to do some traveling.
