I manage my Staten Island portfolio myself.

It does have scope for improvement and it has been rented consistently in the past.

The problem is that without money, it is VERY difficult to generate consistent leads.  

Safe areas with decent c-o-c are mostly newer suburban and include East Arlington, Southside, Fleming Island, Far Northside (near the airport) where they likely won't lose value anytime soon, but considerable appreciation is very unlikely too. 

They had been renting a home for 7 years (hello consistent income!)

It also has had poor city government for years (very corrupt, in the unions pocket , never looking past the support mare island ( navy ) provided.)The last two will be changed by the demand for housing and new political blood. 

Can you do it consistently time after time in a simple "rinse and repeat" process - not likely. 

And be able to do consistent business there?
