Hello all I'm currently in the process of searching for a bank to do my refinance, and figured Id search some advice on here before making any final decisions. 

What does matter is that I finally have my first property to my name which is something I have been chasing for a few years now.

Any advice on blog post, books, BP episodes, or your own experience would be greatly appreciated!

I JUST finished reading @David Greene 's book about Long Distance Real Estate, so I'm on board with your suggestion.

Maybe read the BP book on long distance real estate investing.

The sign in book was actually already pretty full, so to me that tells me many people are interested in the property, maybe if they don’t end up buying the house they might consider renting it. 

For example, if you sell a property for $1mm and receive $900k in cash and carry a second mortgage for the final $100k how does this affect the 1031 and tax consequences?

Almost exactly to the day from this post I’m finally leaving CA for good!

@Thomas Ferreira Jr. it usually takes 45-60 days to get the property to close from date of auction (on auction.com)So you need to wait until closing to get the final sale price for that property.But per @Sergio Aguinaga that may not be the true total cost because  of possible liens.

All applicants lie but you must draw the line at some point and this one clearly has gone beyond that point in my book.
