Hello community!  As a new member to the real estate fix/flip community I was just looking for direction.  I will be quitting my job in California as a Police Officer and moving to Las Vegas!

A little about me: I have always been interested in real estate and investing but never really gave a thought to using hard money to start.  Life has always found a way to get in the way.  I have mad a series of smart financial decisions over the last 10 years that have put me in a great position to go out on my own and take this on as a full time career.  I have sold my two properties in CA and AZ which netted me about $200k, I also have another $50k in savings.  I figure with $250k I will have a solid jumping off point to be able to support myself as well as take on this new venture.

Before I move to Las Vegas, I was wondering if there are a few initial steps I should take? Especially lead generating and finding wholesale deals to rehab/flip.  I have been investing a lot of time lately in research but most of the data I find is dated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anybody in Vegas looking to mentor??

Hi  @Erik Schneider.....I give you a pre-emptive welcome to Vegas!  There are quite a few considerations you should take into account investing in Vegas.  There are too many for me to list on a forum post but I'm more than willing to get on the phone with you to talk.  Just text me at my number below and we can schedule time.  I look forward to eventually meeting you!
