He can’t rent the property, at his age and capacity, he can’t rehab the property. actually if he tried to do the work, it would probably turn out worse.

I've been pleased with them for well over a year now, and will probably roll-over my investment with them when the current funds wrap up.  

If you are coming in with 235k, you probably would not need much more, if any, to make the purchase.

Probably the reason was, I wasn't looking for turnkey investments. 

DC properties are expensive, but they probably do not hold a candle to the crazy prices in Boston. 

As you probably read through the comments on this thread, there are many moving pieces, costs, and folks involved in this transaction. 

Self managing should be easy, if not then that Realtor can probably help you with the rental side of it.
