I've worked with a startup in San Diego and I've coached American football in Knoxville, TN and Grenoble, France.

A little bit of my backstory: I am a former college football player and had graduated from university.

I'm not a good person to add to your recreational softball team.But I'm finding my competitive side in real estate. 

That coupled with what is expected to be a poorly performing football and basketball team, and the plethora of student housing going up downtown makes me think they will have a hard time filling them which means the duplexes on the outskirts of town will have an even harder time filling their vacancies.

Any time that my dollars were not working optimally and things didn't go perfectly I would immediately be on the football phone with The President seeking solutions.

We have some neat sports folks in REI and on BP (Chad Carson, former Clemson Football Captain, just one example)...You may have some of the most recent national DI creds, though, with your recent college world series experience as starting 2nd baseman...I read this inspiring story and think you will be successful no matter what: http://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/article/2014-06-...Even when you get off the sports field, there are lots of great lessons for business (I did an nice interview with Chad, above, in my blog on his insights on team work, etc)..I did the Friday Night Lights thing (in the Odessa Permian/Mojo heyday, 1991 16-0, we won state game champ vs future NFL leading rusher....) and what I tell my students is after awhile, it may be just you and maybe some teammates and die hard fans who remember what you did on the field, but you keep those memories alive in your head--but that is enough, and it is like rocket fuel for your trajectory in other fields... so you have new highlight films ahead.

My husband is a high school football coach and all this started the day before the season began.
