In other words, it actually has an intrinsic value whereas the only intrinsic value of a commodity is the cost of extraction.I think emerging market ETFs are the logical diversification plan for people in developed countries with bleak prospects.

By doing this 20-25% a year is achievable.The problem is there are lots of pretty shonky operators out there claiming 20% a month which makes this very respectable return look weak.Anyway, I think if you're prepared to put in the effort options trading is a good diversification to all your real estate efforts...My 2c anyway...Chris

I am a big believer in asset allocation and diversification.

Most experienced mid to large size shops have a fairly large geographical footprint which gives diversification opportunities to their clients.
