Whenever I read investor posts about unit count goals and utilizing section 8 rentals as the vehicle to scale a portfolio it loosely translates to buying real estate without paying attention to the fundamentals in the markets where they invest.

I would just point out that when you get involved with syndications as a LP, you are basically handing over your money and crossing your fingers that the guys you are hooking up with are honest, fair, and will take care of you well.

It shouldn't be input as income as it is not income, your property managers already input it as income so that would be counting it twice.
