NOTE:  The SST doesnt apply to legal duplexes so if that becomes a concern at a higher price point I would recommend seeking out a duplex with a non-conforming basement or attic unit to maximize your returns.Another alternative that several of my clients with a similar budget and goals have does is to seek out a SFR with in law living setup.

That's conventional conforming Fannie Mae, not FHA, not anything else fancy.f) Know that once you are in escrow (seller has actually signed on the line which is dotted), the balance of power shifts much more towards the buyer.

This is why we have it structured in this fashion - to conform with THEIR rules.If you were using different type of loan (like a portfolio loan) then none of the post would apply because there are different rules to those loans.
