Yeah the law changed I believe back in 2020.You cannot do short term rental with an HPR unless you own both sides.

I have to imagine it's a bit more negotiating than just purchasing something with cash, since it's essentially bartering @Rene Hosman YEARS and that's if they actually got approved because it had to be so completely vetted to avoid lawsuits after approval. 5-10 years but the stance of that municipality was anti-change, anti-development, NIMBY on steroids, etc.

Paying it down faster doesn't change your payment.I recommend you speak with your lender so they can explain this to you.
