He worked with a small venture capital firm in town for a while and he is currently the GC for a big title company.

You can get that duplex vibe without the duplex price tag.

The one big hesitation we have is that it seems like you can not deed the title into an LLC (for asset protection).

Title companies are another great resource. investor friendly title companies work with investors daily.

Check with your local attorney/title company as many times you can void your owner's title policy with a quit claim deed.

Moreover, most DSCR lenders require title to be held in an LLC.
