This resource covers FEDERAL fair housing law, but I think some states (especially tenant friendly ones) may extend protections further and may even eliminate some of the exemptions.

Do you want this thing to be the tipping point for them to leave and you have turnover costs and a vacant unit? 

In-person behavior can be grounds for rejection, would suggest documenting the behavior and related risk to further protect yourself.

Also, exploring alternative lenders could reveal better financing options that align with your goals, so it’s a smart step to consider before committing further with the current lender.

Further, BPOs and appraisals show the properties have increased 50 to 60% in value during the last 3 years.
