Just a few days ago when you were called out for doing this, you wrote posts apologizing about not disclosing your ulterior motives of financial incentives saying "you would make sure to not do this again, but here you are."

If you try now, it may appear you have ulterior motives which would be a turn-off.

Do not allow them to make it more homey except with their own furniture.If they want something changed you do it and charge them to do it and charge them again to change it back when they leave.Tenants like the one in this thread offer to do work for ulterior motives not because they are giving people.

I ask them questions too so that I can find out if they might be potential private lenders or jv partners.People are so afraid of telling others what they make because they think that they are going to be robbed or the people have ulterior motives.

Many here haven't a clue but like to pretend, many others with ulterior motives.

As a sponsor I don't want you all to feel I have ulterior motives with my comments. 

If you feel like there is an ulterior motive, move on until you have a sense of comfort with the people you are about to extend trust to.  

There are probably a lot of ulterior motives on the forum - and not necessarily ulterior motives that are malicious, but at the end of the day, everyone is out to benefit themselves.

But, I am also concerned that he might be attempting to take advantage of the tenant laws (might have ulterior motives). 

There is an ulterior motive of supporting another family member who needs more affordable housing than our area provides (Bay Area, CA).
