If you can't find existing meetups, create your own by organizing casual gatherings for like-minded investors.

While I have found MTR tenants who stay a year, most start month to month and just happen to extend. 

I suppose it makes sense to bring your own because of your dogs, but I would expect any short-term rental or hotel/motel to provide linens for my stay.

That said it is possible that you need to evaluate your stays and decide if it is worth taking shorter stays or sticking to some longer stays to reduce your time commitment and maximize the revenue for time invested.

We do get people coming through for ETSU and Milligan graduations, temporary stays for the VA, and some tourism in the summer and fall but you're not going to stay heavily booked. 

I have no issue staying booked so whatever I am doing is working for us.

We get a condo rental in Oceanside typically, and stay for 2 weeks.
