I mostly look at thrift and vintage stores, auctions, and estate sales for dressers, tables, artwork, curtains, some kitchenware- whatever I can find is newer, quirky or can be refinished.

Buy, refinish the floor, spiff up but don't modernize, then trot on down to the Huntington Collection and furnish with quality, durable antiques.The niche market I'd target is rich parents of out of state child actors coming out for auditions.

I just gaps in a floor I was refinishing with wood dust from the sanding combined with a special glue made for that purpose.
