I felt the headache of dealing with that would have been more appropriately wrapped into the loan, so that's the route I took. 2) The market is incredibly hot, but the high appreciation rate (149%) is due to the US Navy closing down a base in Hawaii and relocating the assets to NAS Whidbey Island (30 minutes south of this location), with more future plans to expand the amount of squadrons on that Naval Air Station. 3) Yeah, renting the one bedroom out for $2000 is unattainable.

I will be working at the NAS base.

I assume hubby is being transferred to Mayport or NAS Jax.

Thanks for the offer of help Huy N. as my post said, I'm not new to BP, just giving people an update on my situation, as I've been around the forums for a couple of years now.

Will 32244 near NAS work as well?

Pricing is going to vary wildly between NAS Pensacola and Scenic Hwy/I-10, but as others in this thread have mentioned, the market is UP...big time: @Dylan H. is right that fairly-priced properties typically have multiple offers within 24-48 hours.

@Masa N. as mentioned above you certainly have options here.  

@Nate NAs TIC interest and residency doesn't have to mess up the tic of the other two.
