I am a highly motivated individual, however, and I'm dedicated to getting into real estate investing.  

it was an interesting process but basically, the novation allowed us to get the deal done without having to involve the banks. this was a huge motivation. that way I save on having to close twice. 

I'll let others chime in on their experiences, but from a motivational perspective, I think attending live events and getting the "conference high" is something that only happens through in-person connections and being in the same room with investors who are eagerly pursuing their real estate/financial goals. 

This will get you 90% of the way there and should be sufficient.It works the same in a saturated area, it's just more to sort through.You are aware that STRs in Denver are allowed only in certain zones and you must live onsite?

Do they use pen and paper to record this information or do they have some sort of software to manage it? 

Connecting with local GC groups in your area will help you connect with subcontractors, find out tips and tricks of the trade in your local area (since all areas and their real estate differ slightly).Also, have you considered the motivation behind building a brand-new duplex versus finding one on the market?

I don’t think that is the person this sort of situation is meant for.

I live in Asheville and am looking at STR in the Franklin area - agree with other posters that it's sort of between more desirable destinations, but also seems that the lower prices reflect that.

Get the details here I'm really looking forward to learning from some of the best real estate educators, and then being able to take those lessons to smaller accountability groups to be able to discuss putting them into action with motivated peers. 

well if I ever make it to the Smokies to see what the draw is  I will rent a condo then :)  I am just guess but I suspect folks that go there want to be in the woods and hear the birds and maybe some local mtn views etc.. or some sort of privacy they never get at home out east were there is not very much public lands close to where they live in the big city. ????
