After some research, I've come up with the following:- Blown-in insulation to fill the joists with hard-packed cellulose- Add asphalt panel board layer across the entire ceiling to the existing drywall and fill the cutouts. - Add a second layer of 5/8's drywall to the asphalt board. 

Has anyone either upgraded their own cabin(s) or ran the numbers on the costs to improve a ~500 - 700 SF cabin with insulation, sheetrock and heat so they can be rented year round?

It seems to be missing the wood flooring at the moment, but did get the insulation wet and there was a puddle of water under the pipe.

Insulation $5,000.

The heating and cooling seems to cause the vinyl to expand and contract (especially under rugs and piles of laundry where the floor is insulated from room air)   It was especially bad with the adhesive edged LVP we got from HD.   

Some were photos that showed pink insulation hanging from an open ceiling.

A 24x24 shell with no heat or insulation and 15 amp power can rent for $600 a month.

But does anyone have real feedback about how good the insulation is or how practical these homes really are?
