Have all the alarms you need and be careful with peeling lead paint with children, don't sand lead paint which creates dust for kids, watch for discrimination possibilities and now watch out for companion animals.BTW networking with other local investors can help you stay on top of your game too.Like most on here say, insurance first.

i have and use 99.9% of the time AMEX cards. one for personal and one for business.personal - gives me Hilton points and i dont have to pay for hotel stays.business - gives me Delta miles, so i dont have to pay for getting to those hotels. i also get a companion ticket for free, but it has a annual fee of $150. well worth it.i used to have AMEX with a cash back and i hated it. on a ~$8k bill i got around $30 or so back. if that. i dont remember. but it seemed very little for what i spent.

For me, it's about taking up new hobbies, working out, making time to go out and meet people, especially those who I know would not only be good social companions but also share my interest for running a business particularly marketing.Just as long as it's something I am interested in, would make me a better person/entrepreneur, I do it. :)
