I've been reading various remedies.Installing box fans on one side of the house, opening the windows on the other side to blow it out.set out barbeque charcoal to absorb the odor (would have to be chemical free)seal them with Kilzwash the walls with baking soda.

My thoughts....Add railings (you can buy pre-made vinyl railings for about $100 each)Paint trim white to match vinyl, including on face of roofAdd white trim under the rooflinePaint screen doors a fun color (I've used Sherwin Williams Indigo Batik before for doors)Paint porch floor a dark charcoal grey (blends with house right now and looks blah)Some plants/landscaping in front would help too...Mock-up included to give an idea of what this would look like (didn't do darker floor or plants though!)....

Without getting into too much detail, new neighor to the south started a fire on my property - claims he thought it was his property and was doing what he claims is a controlled burn - that "got away".I had 12-15 acres completely burned - all tall grass now turned to charcoal ash.
