As a lender that manages MI claims, I can tell you that, A) not all loans have MI and B) not all loans that do have MI have claims paid out on them after a loss and C) going back to what I said earlier where there is MI, all of the rules and processes and guidelines for a short sale are dictated by the MI issuer and NOT the lender.

What I would do....use cardboard or construction paper to make a template that fits the contour of the tub perfectly.....then transfer that template to a plank....mark it out with a pencil etc...... make the big straight cuts as needed.

@Laura Sullivan Unpaid water/sewer is a lien in every jurisdiction we cover and likely in yours so this issue really should have been raised prior to settlement... and if a balance was owed it should have been addressed.
