The biggest issue I hear out of town owners struggle with is reliable property management.  

For that, the only truly reliable setup will require high speed internet at the home.

All you would need is a reliable onsite madam, kitchen, cleaning  and landscaping staff.

Short term; I wish to get established in Ohio (with somewhat reliable management and perhaps a couple properties).

As I acquire rentals, I know I'll need a reliable handyman to service these properties.  

I didn't figure it would be a reliable source to go by.

If you have a reliable track record, you could also just use a white label site to create your own platform or plop an "invest now" button on your website instead of paying points to a platform for every deal.
