Likely higher interest rates will crush higher end home inventory numbers as sellers pull off the market to preserve their low interest rate mortgage.

Combine with general macro economic environmental conditions and there are few places other than hard tangible assets such as land, gold, diamonds and commodities that preserve wealth and fewer that can provide income, cash flow and peace of mind during a recession or increasingly uncertain times. 

They are trying to do some work along the river - there's a brand new Bag o' Nails restaurant and condos/apartments up near the Craig Street bridge. 

It may be wise to do a lot more investigating as far as having a knowledge of cost and other aspects of rehabs before you dive in to the deep end without a life preserver.
