All that said, my long term rentals are yielding quite nicely and well above the average you mentioned and I havent had any issues with the tenant laws here, sure they dont let you be a slum lord like in the states but again no issues.With the rates and home prices in the states the past few years its much harder to find good properties.

Regardless we lived in LA about 9years ago and don't feel comfortable going to another state.

The cities public schools are terrible so school rating doesn't matter.

You'd be amazed that there are a lot of demands from just people who want to get out of the city or have work assignments that bring them to Connecticut.

Check out deals closely, connect with many people, and eye cities where lots of folks rent.

I'm a new investor in the Baltimore City market and while doing my due diligence analyzing deals I'm seeing properties where permits were pulled.
