I’d rather get the deposit back since I’ll have some issues with insurance, but will look into the memo of contract. 

I'll be able to put a sizable chunk of change down but I won't be able to fund the entire thing. 

I'll buy 1BR places all day long, but don't want anything bigger.  

If you concentrate in one area I believe it can be done much much quicker...I would rather look at 10 in great detail than do 100 walkthroughs. 

I gave property management over 2 months notice before I moved out and they said that they would try to re-rent my unit, but until then, I would still be responsible for my rent per my original lease agreement.After a month without any contact or updates, I just got an email from property management asking that I return my keys despite the fact that my lease is still active until 8/31/18 and I'll be paying rent until 8/31/18.

The only thing I'll note, because I work in the insurance industry, is some companies give a discount if you pay the premium in full (which the escrow does). 

That's how I'll choose to look at it!
