Had I not been selling, this would all be out of pocket expense due to no saved up cash flow.

My goals with the money will be to retire early, travel (I am a Flight Attendant), pay off my parents mortgage, give back to those in need, save money, and be able to do the things I want to do without the burden of constantly worrying about money. 

It is good idea to do both in parallel: build your personal wealth while building up your retirement account.

You'll save a ton of dough if it gets approved. 

You can often times save money and create a much better product than you would have had if you would have purchased it for a premium.

She improved the houses and now indicates that she wants to sell them off, as the idea was more promising than the investment.
