Second, do I need to get them basic cooking items?

I would tell them this isn't a free storage facility.

Or invest in self storage facilities?

When you stay in a hotel you're probably occupying less than 200 square feet of space with a single bathroom, the hotel has a full-time cleaning and service staff and there are virtually no food facilities to speak of - no dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, oven or microwave.

Both of our governments have been doing unprecedented things with money supply, interest rates, and cooking the inflation books.

Drawing seawater into a desalination facility and returning concentrated brine waste to the ocean sounds like a bad deal for wildlife.
