I want to build a legacy for my family and have the ability to take care of my parents and in-laws in the future.

I am a general dentist in the Akron area looking into purchasing my first rental property (specifically condo's). 

My family owns and manages ~15 properties in Illinois.

My dilemma is that my mortgage payment is $3100 and the max rent I've seen in my area is $2800 so I wouldn't be able to rent it out. 

My instincts tell me she doesn't NEED that much but would prefer.
