I did get myself prequalified and the loan officer told me that I can only buy SFH and I need to stay there for min. 1 year before I can make it an investment property (this option is available for me if I decided to pay DP less than 20%).I am mostly interested in multi-family properties because I can either live in one unit and rent the other or rent both units out for cash flow purposes.

He is not limiting the form of payment that tenants can use (which based on my understanding is what the MI law precludes), he is limiting WHERE that payment is made.I do the same thing as Dan here in NY.

I'm assuming the builders don't issue a 1099.These builders generally have their own forms and require you to use them.I'm just unsure what this process really looks like.

And my wife for the support.The best part of it all is we just found out we’re having a baby girl early next year and we added $100 automated principal payment each month to our 30yr fixed mortgage so that it amortizes when she turns 18 as @brandonturner suggests.I’m so grateful for bIggerpockets and the community it’s formed to inspire and support me through this journey.Next year I hope to do my first BRRR!

Hello,Say I did the BRRRR strategy on my first home and repeat it into my second home, third home, etc, however does there come a point when banks wont refinance a home for me anymore, say after my 4th home or do the banks dont care as long as the home was paid off when I first bought with private lenders money and only refinance to take out money to repeat and pay off the lender loan?
