They're a luxury item that is a nice feature if the location and rest of the apt call for it, but you will never hear someone say "I can't stay here, it doesn't have heated tile in the bathroom".

In the rare case the numbers look remotely attractive for a rental it does take a different approach to sell.Rehabbers (okay, good ones) can walk a house and in 30 minutes tell you yes or no.
