I was recently advised to look into wholesaling real estate as either a way to supplement income or create an entirely new career for myself.

While Orlando is a huge STR market, I'm also aware that it is currently a tough and saturated market. 

I'm wondering if investors/agents are seeing this in other markets as rates come down.

Since our goal is to scale in real estate and we do have the funds, we would prefer to minimize the deposits and invest into reno where necessary and keep the capital for now for improvements, if they arise.

This would significantly help my ability to afford the market from a house hack standpoint, but I want to understand what those tax advantages are renting out my basement as a business rental.

Obviously this probably means the end of your real estate investing in that area if you don’t feel comfortable with the higher loan.
