The contractor has taken over 2 months to preform the work to date and I feel trapped with him now.

I don't know the zip code you are targeting, however I was born in nearby Gardens zip, but actually City of LA.

A few hundred bucks to replace in place, provide traps and supplies.

So upset at myself for falling for this stupid $3,000 trap just to pitch us another sale...Has anybody been able to successfully get a refund past the "3day no questions asked" policy???

since i was born and raised in Dallas Texas may cause me to have these feelings.  

Getting trapped in a "need" to refinance could make things tough. 

Once you have, say, enough for mailbox money, don't fall into the trap of "OK I killed it on mailbox money!

So talk with your tax pro- see what the benefits vs risks are for you, if it will trap prior losses, ect.
