Jurisdictions are coming around to tiny homes or ADU's like in Portland any lot that has the space now that is zoned R 1 can have a ADU out right.. so the govey hurdle is done.. then its just demand.there are companies that already do what your dreaming to do..

If there isn't a lot of space, look at an on demand unit. 

It’s a decent space, but not equipped with a full kitchen, we were limited on what we could price it at for a typical long term rental.
