A good lesson about the importance of properly structuring a partnership in advance and not trusting anyone but certainly an expensive one!

We have no desire to work for some-one else, because the way we get things done, we don't get the proper pay, meaning wages stink..

To me the answer would depend on how easy it is for you to get financing for REI (assuming you want to get into it) and how much it will cost you to go to university/college.By both going to college and REIing with your 200k you will have a balanced portfolio.

And or you just get a second mortgage to cover as much of the balance as possible.
