Some folks pick up their own signs, others leave them for the local agencies to collect and dispose of them.Where I am, the housing developers hire folks to put their signs out on Friday evenings and pick them up Sunday evening.

hi robert. sounds like you have the typical government agency going on there. if you ever want something totally screwed up, get the government involved. the best thing you can do is go where they are not. that government doesn't cover every area around you. invest in some place where they are not at. check out the local government for another area and see how they are to deal with. here in buffalo, the inner city is a pain in the ***, as well as some of the burbs, but some are not. i simply do not invest in areas where the government is going to be a problem. my advice to you is to sell all of your properties where this government can have a hold on you and buy elsewhere

Take pictures, then match with invoices (i.e-if they charged you for a new hot water tank but the ones in the property clearly are dated)If there are Sec 8 or DSS tenants that possibly were placed there, you could check with the agencies and give them the addresses of the properties and see if they had been paying rent payments for those properties (note: they will NOT give you tenant info, but at this point you probably just want to know if there were tenants in there at all).

The agency then will contact the broker and want to hear their side of the story.. along with coming in an Auditing their trust accounts. and business accounts.. at that point if these folks are wrong then they are done. end of story and they cannot do it to others.
