Did you hire out the labor or do it all yourself?  

   I hired a Contractor for a Rehab work ,  He gave me the timeline of 60 days to complete the rehab.

We may also rent out the in-law unit to help cover travel expenses.Question:Should we hire a property management company to look after things while we're gone?

Now I plan on getting my RE License in August but for the time being, is it fine if I do these deals while hiring a broker so I technically won't be brokering without a license?

One of my inside sales reps that works for me has 9 rentals that he and his wife own and manage.

Say $100 a month to start then after 6 months another $100 until he gets the idea and moves on his own.I might also get the VA involved and see if they could get him relocated peacefully.Lastly if I absolutely had to have him out, I would hire a large law firm specializing in evictions to do all the noticing, and carry out the process.

Is the design up to the contractor or do you hire an architect or interior designer?

If they haven't paid for any marketing for it, I'm not sure why they would want to be difficult about it.Ultimately you could really make things tough for them so that they waste their marketing money and then the contract eventually expires anyway and you hire your dad instead.That being said, is there any reason why you signed a listing agreement with them given that you knew your dad was an agent? 

Then he proceeded to hire employees that would live there 24 hours a day and manage the assisted living facility for him.So he bought the property and then retrofitted it to be an assisted living facility.

I am not going to hire a property management company for this one, at least not right away.
