What kind of profit sharing is commonplace if say another person and I go 50/50 to finance a property, but I'm the one who does all of the work and the other person is a silent partner?

I have plenty more to discuss but I figured I made this first post long enough.TL;DR: Hi, I'm Jack, I'm interested in lots of stuff, I want to invest in real estate, please share your wisdom

BP has been such a huge help getting my investing career off the ground, I thought I'd share the story.  

This is going to be my very first rental property and it is a relief to have great people like you to share their experience and knowledge!

Personal stuff - I love spending as much time as possible with my 5 yr old daughter and the rest of my family, I love fitness (generally work out at least 5x a week), and I've recently developed (better late than never) a passion for real estate investing as a means of 'getting out of the rat race' as well as acquiring knowledge in general in order to better myself and share that knowledge to help others.I haven't uploaded my Pro video yet, but I plan to as soon as I get a moment so my BP peers can get a better feel (beyond the photo) for who I am. 

After looking back on the past couple of years and reading similar stories, I wanted to share some of my story.In mid-2014 I was turning 30, had recently changed positions and was beginning to realize that my financial future was limited by my employment.

A lot of great info to learn from as well as experience to share with those who are starting out.

This is hugely helpful information; we really appreciate the input and great options you shared.

I'm looking forward to sharing the knowledge I have and learning different sides of the industry such as buy and hold investing and house hacking from the great community here!
