According to this document: Texas Attorney General JM-7, it is recommended for a 'foreign entity general-partner' of a Texas LLC, to qualify itself to do business in the state of Texas.

@Matt Homsy keep in mind that most states will expect you to register you LLC as  "Foreign" entity to do business in the state.

I'd hazzard to say that Vancouver cash flow is impossible, and with our new taxation on foreign investors even speculation (a game I would never play) seems to be too dangerous for most right now.

Foreign large caps, foreign small caps, and energy-related equities are still at a good price range these days.
