Far fewer wells are needed these days because of technical reasons.The field you are talking about will have a high gas component and is in shale.

Put it the other way around, if you pull too much BEFORE it crashes, you could have negative equity and fewer options AFTER it crashes, so in that case if that were to come to fruition then IMO you would be better off in that case not pulling as much out in a hot market, but that is tough to guage before such an event ... much easier after.
