While I do not personally have a contact in KC, I'd recommend using BiggerPockets' Find an Agent tool.Its a FREE service for BP members like yourself who are looking to expand your network and find local experts.Here, you'll be connected with an investor-friendly with knowledge/experience in your desired location(s). 

There are definitely some key differences between wholesaling and flipping that you'll want to consider as you get started, feel free to post the questions you have about it.

Most are free if you don't owe anything, but even a $100 annual fee here or there is worth it to know you have *access* to the money if you need it, later on.

Dave is great for budgeting and consumer debt reduction,  but was burned when his commercial / portfolio loans were called on him all at once.

It's free and clear, owe nothing on the property.
