One thing I like to suggest for those starting out is whatever MSA or city you pick figure out the Median  price of SFR's and look at that price range.. for instance in many mid west rust belt cities this maybe 150 to 200k.. but you can also find houses for 50 to 75k.. so homes around the median are also attracting a nice mix of owner occs which is what you want you dont want to invest in areas that are basically all rentals.. your exit is highly limited.

Columbus is VERY midwest in its vibe, whereas Cleveland is sort of the convergence of east coast and midwest... that rust belt kind of vibe, like you would find in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, etc.Also, despite the fact that Columbus is technically bigger, it does not have the bigger city feeling that Cleveland has.

@Bryan R.  40 to 50 a month that is massive buying were they set up at the Friday Foreclosure auctions or just buying off of Mls Like 4Rents did here in the PDX market...
