Hey everyone, I am looking for information about Florida market, seeing how the houses are so pricy (Dania beach, Hollywood, Miami area) what would be the best strategy to start a STR with out having to fork out all my savings in one property.

Also, the roof is a barn-style roof, so it starts to slope at about 4ft high.Is there anything I should add or change to suit MTR (and STR in the gaps of no MTR guests)?

Started using hemlane for a property I acquired recently.

We also have access to a $30k HELOC, fixed 8.5%.The current mortgage is $1600 and exact units in our block are renting for $2600+/mo, but the property doesn't pass the 1% rule.We want to start investing in RE again.  

I want to learn how to build a sustainable business and reaching out to see if there are any mentors in the area willing to give someone an opportunity to  learn how they build their business and how they would start if they had to do it all again.

If you're just starting out, a turnkey cash flow rental is a solid move.
