I'm surprised you don't know what the tenants are supposed to pay (e.g. utilities) because that question should have been answered during the purchase process.

Taking a break from real estate for a while - it's been a stressful 2 years.

The real wealth is in equity.  

Does anyone have experience purchasing a mixed-use property on an auction site sold "as is" with a quitclaim deed?

I have been able to find companies that will cover real estate portfolios on one policy in other markets but no luck in the Florida market.

I was talking with an investor about what I could read so I could have a valuable conversation with him about real estate investing.
