You should speak with a few of each type to determine what will best suit your needs.You can work with a trust company that serves as custodian for the account and does all transaction processing to document the IRA ownership of property.

I get the whole, it's Christmas thing, and for that reason I'd give them to the end of the year, or 30-days from when you took ownership, but you can't afford to have them stay at a discounted rate.
