I've been lurking for a little while and just finished the Ultimate Beginner's Guide and figured I better jump in.

I think everyone else's ideas about cutting expenses to the extent possible, looking for training or careers to move up in, and taking incremental education and job steps like that will help you escape the "poverty trap."
