Last year I believe this is the position the accountant took but I am getting a different response now from one of his employees.

Headquarters are usually doing a lot of 2-3 month tainings for new employees who need temp housing. 

So needless to say, I am eager to jump in with both feet and start putting myself out there in the twin cities.In five years I would like to have transitioned from employee to business owner, my goal is to have hired people to manage my marketing, acquisition, disposition, etc.

Purchase price: $180,000 Cash invested: $60,000 Purchased an office for my own business but all my employees decided they wanted to work from home, so now I rent it out for $2,000 per month which cashflows $200 and will be paid off in about 5 years.

People in this forum have been holding our hands navigating some tough issues since we stepped into the landlord role.

Most agents don't realize they are starting a business where they are the CEO and employee.

There are some new development plans in the horizon but it's tough to tell if it's going to be in the "path of progress".

It is a virtually universal skillset and will grow beyond what you will likely ever need it to do3 - put quickbooks on a remote server4 - use a bank that allows for employee log in to view transactions5 - hire a VA to do day to day data entry.

Also you want to make very sure that the brokerage that you end up choosing will treat you as an independent business owner rather than an employee.
