After the moisture problem is fixed, a mold remediation company can essentially clean the joists to remove the surface mold and then spray with an anti microbial solution to help prevent it from coming back.

That being said, here are a few reasons I see some stable growth, here in Utah & Salt lake county specifically, but also across the nation. 1.The Median home prices have typically appreciated at 4% per year, out pacing inflation (most of the time) we saw higher than avg growth starting in 03-07.

We have been through a few renovations of older buildings (1937 would not even be considered middle aged around here) with {live edged} planked sheathing - some balloon framed, some more similar to modern construction.In your situation, I would take the entire wall section back to the studs and outside sheathing and use a closed cell spray foam insulation {if budget allowed, I might take the entire side of the house or entire house back to the studs}.
