I suggest the SD newbies here saying that cash flow in SoCal is hard or difficult just because it doesn't hit the 1% or 2% rule or any other made up, nonsensical, intellectually lazy "rule of thumb" to re-read Dan Heuschele's first post on this forum very carefully.

I am extremely lazy and the first one to advocate early retirement.That said, it's a lot easier to leave a $100K job you dislike than it is to leave a $300-400K job you actually kinda like (and spent about 14 years training for).I vocalize to everyone I meet that if you wake up in the morning, you should be doing exactly what you want to be with your time.

check the sites i like  Cirrus .org  ESPN  Telsarati  BP  this in Lui of reading the newpaper like used to do.. by 10 or 11 I already have 4 to 5 hours of work in.. my west coast staff gets in about 10am.. engage with them.. print out closing docs buy and sell huds this is a daily event.. head to bank daily to initiate wires.. i am old school and i really like my bankers.. so its part social. then off to fed ex to drop the east coast packages off. afternoon getting new funding requests..
