We know people that use them successfully, especially with boutique hotels.

If I had to do it again, I would personally not do this much work for a 4 plex, I would do it on a bigger hotel project. 

I am considering buying hotels and renovating to rooms (with mini-frige and microwaves) that I rent as hotel rooms on a monthly basis to low income women.My thought is to provide this type of housing but avoid the nightmare of dealing with evictions and putting up with bad tenant behaviour until I can evict.

Yes, you would have to put the tenants up in a hotel for the duration of the work (likely 2-3 days if they don't have another place to stay). 

Just to let you know, There is a 10 story apartment/hotel /commercial building finishing up on 13th st and University.  

Particularly before the advent of the long-term stay hotels, it was much cheaper for the companies.

Look at the rates charged by a beach front hotel vs a motel that is 10 miles away.
