Take hedonic regression as an example, with data on prices and property features, hedonic regression allows you to treat property as just a collection of characteristics, and estimate the price of those characteristics individually.

In my market, a security deposit or cleaning fee on my rental would result in almost no bookings.Hop on craigslist and/or Zillow or call a local real estate agent to get data on actual long term rental prices others have paid or are currently offering in the area.

The USGS has monitoring points for those concerned about river and stream levels, and the National Weather Service also provides graphs using data from the USGS.
